sometimes the mail arrives, and it’s the coolest thing ever.

Read Lindsay Zoladz’s review of Bikini Kill’s 1992 debut EP, a Best New Reissue.

Does anyone want to hear about my 20s?

This is because our building’s super screamed at her about it.

Oh, screaming at a Federal Employee, that’s really helpful and novel of you right now. Who put you up to that, John Carney?

  • Man, I see in tumblr the strongest and smartest men who’ve ever lived. I see all this potential, and I see squandering. God damn it, an entire generation posting pics, waiting to refresh; slaves with no shirts on. Blogging has us chasing notes and nudes, working jobs we hate so we can pay for internet and food so we cake posts we don’t need [to]. We’re the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War’s a cyber war… our Great Depression is our blogs. We’ve all been raised on tumblr to believe that one day we’d all be million-note-aires, and text post gods, and tumblr famous. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. And we’re very, very pissed off.

every time a milennial discovers the wrong side of My War is our _______.

Green Party Candidates Arrested, Shackled to Chairs For 8 Hours For Trying to Enter Debate

Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein and vice presidential candidate Cheri Honkala were arrested Tuesday as they attempted to enter the grounds of the presidential debate site at Hofstra University. Like other third party candidates, Stein was blocked from participating in the debate by the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is controlled by the Republican and Democratic parties. Stein and Honkala were held for eight hours, handcuffed to chairs. As she was being arrested, Stein condemned what she called “this mock debate, this mockery of democracy.” Just hours after being released, Stein joins us in the Democracy Now! studio.

Hello American citizens, do you think you’re living in a democracy? Because you’re not.

Hooray. That’s great. Loving the aggressive idealism.
